A new day!

If you read my post below, you saw that Caroline and I had a horrible Monday...even though we didn't go to work/daycare. How is that possible??? Anyway...today turned out to be a much better day. Caroline went back to daycare since it seems as if her fever and runny nose/cough is from teething. She did great and was excited to see her friends. I went back to work and was doing well until 10:00 when I about passed out. I started feeling so yucky but I'm not the type of person to announce that I feel bad and am about to pass out b/c I get embarassed(silly-I know!). Luckily, one of my co-workers came into my office about the time that I thought I was going to fall out of my seat and got the nurse two doors down and they helped me out. Ends up my blood pressure was high (go figure!) and blood sugar levels were low. So, I ate some crackers and felt much better. It's just an off set from the other issues I've been having since Saturday. Another story for another day!!!

So, as promised...here's some pics from our fun girls lunch. I've mentioned on my blog before but my mom and her sisters and their daughters all get together every 2-3 months to celebrate the birthdays for those months. We always involve food in our get together too...who wouldn't?? We met at Journey's End again...my absolute favorite southern food cooking restaurant. I could eat there everyday..but then I would be 100 lbs heavier so it's probably a good thing that it's so far away from us!I usually get good pics of everyone and a group shot but with 2 two year olds and 4 other kids..we didn't get around to it! Plus, I was feeling pretty crapy so I wasn't in the mood for pics! Oh well...there's always next time!

Caroline got to celebrate her birthday again...this child is going to think it's her birthday every weekend!! She got lots of cool stuff from my aunts and cousins! Fun times!

And here's a tired little girl who was more than ready for a nap!

Our Monday

What a day Caroline and I have had. I just can't believe all we went through today. Let's just say that we both were sick yesterday so I decided to stay home today to REST. But we ended up being at my dr's office from 11:30am-3:00pm. During that time, Caroline had a melt down with goldfish, a nasty poop that smelt up the entire room, and I was about to have an anxiety attack from it all! We both were exhausted from being up all night last night with C having a 103 fever and cough. I had hoped to nap between my dr visit and her's but it didn't happen. It was a ROUGH day.

Good news is we had her 2 year check-up with her sick visit and she's perfect. She's meeting all of her milestones and beyond. She didn't gain weight from 18 months to now but they aren't concerned since she gained in height. She's in the 50th% for height and 5th% for weight. She is only 23lbs...my little shrimp!!!

I have pictures to post from our fun girls lunch we had with my family on Saturday. Hopefully I'll be able to do that sometime this week. I'm just SO tired from our crazy day of going and going that I'm heading to bed! Glad to put Monday behind me!

Party Time!

(Warning: This is a long post with lots of pictures! I wanted to document our fun weekend into one post since this week is going to be crazy for me and I probably won't have time to blog again for awhile!)

We pretty much began celebrating Caroline's birthday on Friday! She wore her birthday girl shirt to school and they gave her a party hat to wear and sang Happy Birthday to her! So by the time I picked her up from school and got her home she was walking around singing Happy Birthday to herself! So funny. Then we went and got pizza (her favorite!) and my parents came over to spend the night to help me prep for her party on Saturday. She was thrilled to see her grandma and granddaddy and stayed up way to late with all of the excitement!

Saturday we had her big party with all of her friends at our clubhouse. We had 2 jumping houses and a crawling tunnel for all of the kids to play in so she had a blast with everyone! The theme was Minnie/Mickey mouse and it turned out really cute!

I bought these cute buckets and added the minnie mouse ears! Easy and cute!

The spread. We had all of Caroline's favorites...chick-fil-a chicken nuggets, chips/dip, pimento cheese sandwiches, fruit and goldfish!

The cookie cake..again her favorite!

A few of the decorated tables!

Party favors!

Jumping in one of the jumping toys!

The family shot...wasn't that great but at least we have one...right??!!

My college roommate and her little boy, Tyler!

Caroline jumping with her friend Katelyn!

Caroline's best little buddy...Luke! They were SO cute at the party and wouldn't go anywhere without each other. He's in her daycare class and are big buds!

Is this little guy not the cutest thing ever??? I could eat him up!

Singing Happy Birthday to Caroline!

Present time! She LOVED this baby doll and wouldn't open anything else!!

Caroline opening the gift her friend Hayes gave her!

More presents!

A cute little riding toy from her friend Megan!

Some of my greatest friends!

All the kids at the party minus about 5 others that had already left by the time we took this picture!

Sunday, was her actual birthday! We got up early and went to church where they celebrated her special day even more!! She got to wear a party hat and eat a HUGE sucker! Any kid loves a day where they can get overloaded on sugar!!! Then we went to Cleveland to my parents house and my mom had a big dinner for her and made special cupcakes.

Sweet birthday girl!

Caroline's first scooter! She LOVED it!

Yummy cupcakes!

Cupcake face!

We had the best weekend celebrating our sweet girl. I'm glad she had as much fun as we did! Now we just need to find a storage unit or a bigger house to hold all of the toys!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Caroline!

Today is my sweet Caroline's 2nd birthday! I can hardly believe that it's been two years already. Time truly has flown by. Blake and I are so thankful that God chose us to be her parents. She is truly an amazing kid and we just can't seem to get enough of her! I love that at two years old she loves singing Jesus Loves Me at night before going to bed! I know that she probably doesn't understand what she's singing but I pray that as she gets older that she will have a deep desire to love God and to follow him. I also love her sweet and very cute personality! She can make me laugh so hard at the crazy things she does and there isn't a time when we go out that someone comments on how adorable she is. I do wish that she didn't have mommy's shy-ness at times...maybe she'll break out if it one day! I love that she's all girl and SO prissy. I wouldn't have it any other way! I love how quickly she has learned things and how much she can say. She amazes me everyday with something new! I love her big brown eyes and big bows in her hair! I love that when I'm away from her I can think of her and it brings a smile to my face!

Happy Birthday sweet girl! Mommy and daddy love you so much!!!

PS. I promise to put up pictures of her big weekend later this week! We are all trying to re-coup after all of the fun!

Sledding and Birthday Party Prep!

I know we are all sick of the snow but I have a few more pictures that I wanted to post on the blog. I meant to post them earlier this week but the end of the week got busy for us since we went back to work so this was the first chance I had to get them on the blog!

On Wednesday, Caroline was looking out our back door at our neighbors playing and sleding down our hill in the backyard. I was hesitant to take her out at first b/c it was SO cold and she already had a cold but the more she would just stand there and stare at them the more I thought I needed to be a "fun" mom!!! So we all got layered up and went out to join the fun. She had a BLAST sledding down our hill in our backyard. I'm so glad I let her go out there! She had so much fun that when we made her come in she was kicking and screaming. It's wasn't pleasant!

Blake and I returned to work on Thursday. It was nice getting out of the house and doing something productive! We go a little stir crazy sitting at home for days in a row! I've been busy lately planning Caroline's 2nd birthday party. We decided to have it at our clubhouse and to do a Minnie Mouse theme. It's funny because she was ALL about Disney and Micky Mouse and Minnie Mouse since she was about 1. Well about a month ago she's kind of dropped Disney and is now all about Sprout and Sesame Street. Oh well...it will still be fun! I hope that Caroline has a great party and that her friends enjoy the party too!

Yesterday, we met my parents in Dawsonville to go shopping at the outlet mall for Caroline's birthday. She had been asking for Grandma and Granddaddy all week long so she was thrilled to see them and it was nice to get out after being snowed in for much of the week. After shopping we decided to go out to eat for lunch at Longhorn's and then to Wal-Mart to look for toys for her. We had the best time! When we were in the toy section at Wal-Mart (which was huge by the way!) she would see something she liked and would scream with excitement. It was so funny. We don't take Caroline through the toy sections at stores hardly at all because we just have so many toys already and honestly don't have much room in our tiny house. So, she had a blast spending a few minutes picking out some toys for her birthday! Blake and I are giving her a My First Scooter! She Loves the neighbors scooter and tries so hard to keep up with them so now she has her own! It's so cute. We also bought her some baby stuff since she's so into babies right now. My mom and dad got her a ton of stuff...that's what grandparents do though!

We are looking forward to a fun week preparing for our little girl's birthday. I still can't believe she will be 2 in 7 days. It feels like yesterday we were leaving our house to go to the hospital to have her. My how the days fly by!

More snow pics!

Looks like we have another snow day tomorrow! I'm excited but we are all starting to get cabin fever...it doesn't take much for us!!! Our little Caroline has been WILD today! It's been fun though. We ventured out a couple more times today to see the snow. Hopefully we'll be able to play outside in it tomorrow too. I'll probably have to dig myself out sometime later this week b/c there's about 7-8 inches of snow in our driveway. I think the way our driveway sits and with Blake's car being in the driveway when it snowed last night, there ended up being a drift and the snow just piled up where I would normally back my car out. Right now, I'm fine being snowed in...but I eventually need to go back to work later this week!!!

This is what our driveway looks like. It's crazy how deep that snow is!

Ready to go play again!

Snow Day!

We are all at home today enjoying our Snow Day! We got about 7-8 inches of snow. I haven't seen this much snow in years! We bunddled Caroline up and went outside to venture the cold and to let her see the snow. Can you tell how excited she is to have so many layers of clothes on?? She actually was very happy about getting to see the snow but doesn't like to smile for my camera anymore. Maybe one day!

It was so deep that she could barely walk in it! Here's a few pictures of her checking out the snow!
