The last two weeks!

We've had a lot going on the last two weeks!! First of all, last Thursday I accepted a job with our church..Brown's Bridge Community Church!! I wasn't even looking for anything seeing that I just started a job last December. But I had interviewed with the church about 3 years ago when I was pregnant with Caroline and it didn't work out at the time. Another position opened up a few weeks ago, and my small group leader (who works at the church) submitted my name to the director and before I knew it I was offered the position! I'm SO thrilled b/c I've wanted this job for awhile now! I will be in our Waumba Land area which is for 0-4 years old and will be over the Host Team! I will be able to take Caroline to work with me and will have Friday's off! I start in a week and can't wait! God has truly blessed us with this opportunity!

Last Saturday Caroline went to a pool party for one of her friends in her daycare class. We had so much fun and when we came home she took a 3 hour nap...which is awesome for mommy!! Here's some pictures of her with her friends Megan and Sydney. Such cute little girls!

Love the expressions in this picture!

Blake had a good Father's day. Even though I have no pictures to prove it!!! I guess since we have none for Mother's day it's only right to have none from Father's day! Here are some pictures from the night before when Caroline and I took him out for a Father's Day dinner to Norman's Landing! Of course, she had to get out her fine jewerly for her date with daddy!

My parents bought Blake tickets to the Gwinnett Braves game and we decided to take Caroline with us since she's never been! She had a blast. She was talking all the way there about the baseball game. We ate dinner at Chick-Fil-A and then enjoyed the night as a family watching the game!

All ready and excited to go!

Nothing like a little princess picking her nose!!!

I kept telling her to stop picking her nose so that I could take the picture and she wouldn't stop so finally I say, "fine...this picture will embarrass you when you are older!" lol!

So, that about wraps up our last couple of weeks since my last post. I keep hoping life will slow down soon...but I'm not sure it's going to happen!!! I can't believe we are almost to July. Time just flies!!

Big girl room/bed

Today, we changed Caroline's crib into a toddler bed! I have dreaded this day forever and I think the main reason is because it's just another reminder that she's growing up and not a baby anymore! It's so sad to me to think how quickly time has passed but at the same time I'm loving this age and the amount of things she's learning! I bought the toddler rail months ago and decided today that it's time. I waited this long because she slept sooo good in her crib and never tried to climb out. But since we've switched some things around in her room recently, I thought we might as well do the bed too! She took a nap in her new bed and did amazing. She was hesitant when we first put her in there and wasn't too sure about it but fell asleep and slept over 2 hours. When we put her in the bed tonight she hopped right in and went fast asleep! I know it's only the first night and that she'll eventually learn that she can get in/out but for now, things are going smoothly!!!

Here's some pictures of her big girl room! Her room has always been a flower/birds theme. I got the bedding at pottery barn kids when she was born and it's been wonderful b/c it was easy to transition to a big girl room theme too. So, I didn't have to do much to her room but we did a few things to make it seem more of a "big girl" room rather than a "baby" room! Sorry in advance for the quality of the pictures...my camera wouldn't cooperate with me tonight but you can at least get the gist!!

This used to be her chaning table! We took the top off and added her favorite books!

I got Caroline's one year pictures (by Farrah Nicole Photography) framed! I love the way this turned out!

So very true!

Her big girl bed!

Toys and hairbows!

Her lovely princess time out stool!

I got these awesome bird houses at Hobby Lobby...love that store! They each have a picture of the first time Blake held her and a picture of her and I before leaving the hosptial. Very special memories!

I got this from Home Goods! I love it because she does a ton of artwork at school so now we have somewhere to display it!

Another view of her toys!

And little priss when she woke up from her nap!

Trip to Savannah!

We left last Thursday to spend Memorial Day weekend with my aunt in Savannah. It was such a wonderful trip. Blake and I really needed a nice break from the craziness of our lives and we got just that! My aunt is the sweetest person you will ever meet and her house is the best house ever! It's so peaceful and perfect! Here's some pictures of our fun weekend!

Here's pictures of Caroline in her cute bathing suit before we headed out to the beach! You can tell in most of the pictures that she's saying "cheese". Everytime I get the camera out she will automatically say "cheese"!!

Here's our attempt at trying to get a decent family picture!!! I love my aunts backyard...could honestly live here forever!!!

Beautiful sunset!

Hanging out on the dock!

Hanging out on Riverstreet!

Thanks again MaryEllen for letting us visit! We had so much fun and can't wait to see you again soon!

Quick Catch Up!

I just realized that I haven't blogged in awhile! This poor blog is getting the back seat to my busy life! Now that it's lighter outside longer, it's been quite a struggle to get Caroline to bed on time which leaves me with about 30 minutes of "me" time before my bed time!!!

Anyway...thought I would write quickly about what's been going on the past couple of weeks. Sorry for no pictures...haven't had time to drag out my camera!

About 2 weeks ago, I got rear-ended on my way home from a LONG day of work. A utility guy was working on a power line and had put up the STOP sign for our side of traffic to stop. The cars in front of my had dis-obeyed and gone on so I thought I would be the good girl and actually stop. So that's what I did and then 2 seconds later I get banged! The driver behind me had stopped but the driver behind her did NOT. She slammed so hard into her car that she hit me. Both the 2nd and 3rd car were totalled so I was lucky that I had minimal damage! My bumper had to be replaced and they had to work out a couple of dents and scratches but nothing major! The poor lady in the 2nd car had just bought her car 2 days prior. I felt so bad for her. I got a free carseat out of it and a 2011 Rav 4 to drive while my car was being fixed....always nice! Luckily the insurance companies were great to deal with so it was a piece of cake to get things resolved! Now if that could always be the case!!!

A couple of Friday's ago, I had a girls night out with my small group girls! It was a blast. We had pizza, coke, cupcakes, made hairbows for our little ones and chatted until 11:30pm! I haven't done anything like that in a really long time and it was so much fun! I love the girls in my small group....we all seem to really connect! It's so important to have a strong group of friends that you can talk to about anything and these girls are just that for me! It was great getting away from my mommy duties for the night to be able to hang out! Thanks to my in-laws for keeping Caroline for me until Blake could get home!!

Mothers day was great! Blake set his alarm clock early and got my breakfast before I got up! We spent the morning at home and relaxed, planted some flowers, and then went to visit my parents in Cleveland. It was such a nice and relaxing day! Blake and Caroline got me a spa gift card! I can't wait to find time to use it:) I'm so lucky to be miss Caroline's mommy and I love her more than anything in this world!

Other than that, we've just been doing our usual of working, playing outside, cleaning house/laundry and doing it all over again!!! I promise to have pictures next time I blog!!

Our Saturday

What a beautiful day we had today!!! Daddy had to work but Caroline and I enjoyed spending the day together. We had no agenda, no where to go, and really nothing to do! We played with baby dolls, cleaned the house, did some laundry, played outside and made a trip to the grocery store! I love my little girl so much and soak up days like this b/c I know before I turn around these moments will be gone. Here's some pictures that I took from my phone today to show you how much fun we had! Caroline is such a girly girl and is now having to have her purse, baby doll, etc to be able to go anywhere! I was the same way as a little girl! Love it.

Hope ya'll are having a wonderful weekend too and are soaking up this beautiful weather while it lasts!
