Trip to Savannah!

We left last Thursday to spend Memorial Day weekend with my aunt in Savannah. It was such a wonderful trip. Blake and I really needed a nice break from the craziness of our lives and we got just that! My aunt is the sweetest person you will ever meet and her house is the best house ever! It's so peaceful and perfect! Here's some pictures of our fun weekend!

Here's pictures of Caroline in her cute bathing suit before we headed out to the beach! You can tell in most of the pictures that she's saying "cheese". Everytime I get the camera out she will automatically say "cheese"!!

Here's our attempt at trying to get a decent family picture!!! I love my aunts backyard...could honestly live here forever!!!

Beautiful sunset!

Thanks again MaryEllen for letting us visit! We had so much fun and can't wait to see you again soon!

Quick Catch Up!

I just realized that I haven't blogged in awhile! This poor blog is getting the back seat to my busy life! Now that it's lighter outside longer, it's been quite a struggle to get Caroline to bed on time which leaves me with about 30 minutes of "me" time before my bed time!!!

Anyway...thought I would write quickly about what's been going on the past couple of weeks. Sorry for no pictures...haven't had time to drag out my camera!

About 2 weeks ago, I got rear-ended on my way home from a LONG day of work. A utility guy was working on a power line and had put up the STOP sign for our side of traffic to stop. The cars in front of my had dis-obeyed and gone on so I thought I would be the good girl and actually stop. So that's what I did and then 2 seconds later I get banged! The driver behind me had stopped but the driver behind her did NOT. She slammed so hard into her car that she hit me. Both the 2nd and 3rd car were totalled so I was lucky that I had minimal damage! My bumper had to be replaced and they had to work out a couple of dents and scratches but nothing major! The poor lady in the 2nd car had just bought her car 2 days prior. I felt so bad for her. I got a free carseat out of it and a 2011 Rav 4 to drive while my car was being fixed....always nice! Luckily the insurance companies were great to deal with so it was a piece of cake to get things resolved! Now if that could always be the case!!!

A couple of Friday's ago, I had a girls night out with my small group girls! It was a blast. We had pizza, coke, cupcakes, made hairbows for our little ones and chatted until 11:30pm! I haven't done anything like that in a really long time and it was so much fun! I love the girls in my small group....we all seem to really connect! It's so important to have a strong group of friends that you can talk to about anything and these girls are just that for me! It was great getting away from my mommy duties for the night to be able to hang out! Thanks to my in-laws for keeping Caroline for me until Blake could get home!!

Mothers day was great! Blake set his alarm clock early and got my breakfast before I got up! We spent the morning at home and relaxed, planted some flowers, and then went to visit my parents in Cleveland. It was such a nice and relaxing day! Blake and Caroline got me a spa gift card! I can't wait to find time to use it:) I'm so lucky to be miss Caroline's mommy and I love her more than anything in this world!

Other than that, we've just been doing our usual of working, playing outside, cleaning house/laundry and doing it all over again!!! I promise to have pictures next time I blog!!

Our Saturday

What a beautiful day we had today!!! Daddy had to work but Caroline and I enjoyed spending the day together. We had no agenda, no where to go, and really nothing to do! We played with baby dolls, cleaned the house, did some laundry, played outside and made a trip to the grocery store! I love my little girl so much and soak up days like this b/c I know before I turn around these moments will be gone. Here's some pictures that I took from my phone today to show you how much fun we had! Caroline is such a girly girl and is now having to have her purse, baby doll, etc to be able to go anywhere! I was the same way as a little girl! Love it.

Hope ya'll are having a wonderful weekend too and are soaking up this beautiful weather while it lasts!

Easter 2011

Our Easter weekend started off with Caroline having a stomach bug...not fun. She came home on Friday not feeling well and then sometime in the middle of the night she woke up throwing up. She pretty much felt awlful all day Saturday and slept all day.

But by Sunday, our little one was feeling much better so we all got dressed and made it to church. Afterwards, we went to my parents house and ate way too much food! After dinner, Caroline went egg hunting with Kendall and Maddox. They had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I didn't get one decent picture of Caroline in her Easter dress. This age is so hard to get cute pictures. Oh well! She was really cute in her dress...you'll just have to take my word for it!!

The Easter bunny came!! (the white bunny basket is one that her teacher made her at school for their Easter Egg Hunt...it's so cute!)

Here's Caroline checking out her goodies!

At grandma and grand-daddy's house! Luckily their flowers were looking beautiful on Sunday.

The best family picture we could get.

Caroline showing grandma her Easter basket.

Blowing bubbles.

A somewhat decent picture of me and my hubby!

All the kids ready for the egg hunt..

Hunting eggs!

Caroline and her partner in crime!

We had an amazing service and message at church and a great afternoon with family! Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins!

Catching up!

Here's what we've been doing recently...

Hanging out at grandma's and granddaddy's house after church...

Here's Caroline mocking Kendall and doing everything she does! It was funny b/c we were all watching a movie and trying to get the kids to settle down (praying they would fall asleep while watching the movie!) and I hear giggles and look over to see these two doing this. I had to take a picture! Very flexible little girls!

Today, I took Caroline to see the Easter Bunny at the Avenue near our house. Needless to say...this was as close as she would let me get to the bunny. She screamed before we even got near the bunny...which is pretty much the reaction I had predicted! At least the bunny looked cute in the background!!

It was a such a pretty day so I took advantage of the Avenue's pretty flowers and took some pictures of miss priss!

Caroline is getting her 2 year molars right now..hence the hands in the mouth in the last picture! I keep saying that I'm suprised she still has fingers b/c she's always chewing on them!

That about sums up what we've been doing! We are really excited about Easter next weekend! Caroline has a sweet dress to wear that I got on a clearance rack after Easter last year! I love deals!

Pig Tails

Last night Blake's parents came over and we grilled out for the first time this year! I love this time of the year when it gets warm enough to grill out. Nothing like having home grilled food!

When I got home from work I thought it might be cute to see if Caroline's hair is long enough to go in pig tails. Low and behold it was the cutest thing I had ever seen!! She looked so much more like a big girl but it made my heart melt!!! I tried so hard to get a decent picture of them but this was all I got. The pics really don't do it justice enough on how cute her "piggy tails" were!

After dinner, Caroline thought that Grandaddy Chris needed to see the doctor so she got her doctor kit and checked him out. It was so funny. She took his temp and checked his heart to make sure it was still beating! He got a good report from Dr. Caroline...he's in healthy shape!!

I don't know about you but we are looking forward to the somewhat nicer weather this weekend. This week of rain and cold has had us cooped up inside so we are ready to get out and enjoy some beauitful weather! I somewhat re-did Caroline's room tonight and made it look more of a "toddler" room than a baby's room. She still is sleeping in her crib but we plan to convert it to the toddler bed soon. I finally took the bumper's out tonight. I know, she's 2 and I still had the bumpers in her bed!...The kid loved them so why mess up a good thing! I loved the way her big girl room turned out. The things we had in her "nursery" were things that could easily convert to a toddler room (which is why I bought them!) so I really didn't have to do much. But just by changing a few things, it made a big difference. I need to get a rug tomorrow and then I'll take some pics and post on here. I can't believe how big my little one is getting! It's a fun stage but sad at the same time!
