Catching up!

Here's what we've been doing recently...

Hanging out at grandma's and granddaddy's house after church...

Here's Caroline mocking Kendall and doing everything she does! It was funny b/c we were all watching a movie and trying to get the kids to settle down (praying they would fall asleep while watching the movie!) and I hear giggles and look over to see these two doing this. I had to take a picture! Very flexible little girls!

Today, I took Caroline to see the Easter Bunny at the Avenue near our house. Needless to say...this was as close as she would let me get to the bunny. She screamed before we even got near the bunny...which is pretty much the reaction I had predicted! At least the bunny looked cute in the background!!

It was a such a pretty day so I took advantage of the Avenue's pretty flowers and took some pictures of miss priss!

Caroline is getting her 2 year molars right now..hence the hands in the mouth in the last picture! I keep saying that I'm suprised she still has fingers b/c she's always chewing on them!

That about sums up what we've been doing! We are really excited about Easter next weekend! Caroline has a sweet dress to wear that I got on a clearance rack after Easter last year! I love deals!

Pig Tails

Last night Blake's parents came over and we grilled out for the first time this year! I love this time of the year when it gets warm enough to grill out. Nothing like having home grilled food!

When I got home from work I thought it might be cute to see if Caroline's hair is long enough to go in pig tails. Low and behold it was the cutest thing I had ever seen!! She looked so much more like a big girl but it made my heart melt!!! I tried so hard to get a decent picture of them but this was all I got. The pics really don't do it justice enough on how cute her "piggy tails" were!

After dinner, Caroline thought that Grandaddy Chris needed to see the doctor so she got her doctor kit and checked him out. It was so funny. She took his temp and checked his heart to make sure it was still beating! He got a good report from Dr. Caroline...he's in healthy shape!!

I don't know about you but we are looking forward to the somewhat nicer weather this weekend. This week of rain and cold has had us cooped up inside so we are ready to get out and enjoy some beauitful weather! I somewhat re-did Caroline's room tonight and made it look more of a "toddler" room than a baby's room. She still is sleeping in her crib but we plan to convert it to the toddler bed soon. I finally took the bumper's out tonight. I know, she's 2 and I still had the bumpers in her bed!...The kid loved them so why mess up a good thing! I loved the way her big girl room turned out. The things we had in her "nursery" were things that could easily convert to a toddler room (which is why I bought them!) so I really didn't have to do much. But just by changing a few things, it made a big difference. I need to get a rug tomorrow and then I'll take some pics and post on here. I can't believe how big my little one is getting! It's a fun stage but sad at the same time!

Papa's Birthday!

My papa turned 82 this past Sunday! We were thrilled to be able to visit with him on his birthday! Papa has been sick lately and has been doing radiation treatments and didn't feel great but we suprised him with a cake, balloons, and a grill! Of course, Caroline had to help daddy put the grill together!

We hope you had a great birthday, Papa! We love you!

St. Patrick's Day!

I know I'm a day late but here's some cute pictures of my little one on St. Patty's Day! I had to literally bribe her with candy to get her to stand still long enough to take the pictures. You'll see towards the end that she finally got her reward!!! She'll do anything for a piece of chocolate!

Yummy...chocolate!

Determined look..she likes to eat it slowly and savor every bite!

One happy girl!

We went out to eat dinner with my in-law's and then Blake and I went to small group! We had a great St. Patty's day and hope you all did too! I'm SO thankful the weekend is here. It's been a long week and I'm ready to soak up this awesome weather!

Beautiful Weekend!

We had such a FUN weekend spending time as a family outside in the awesome weather we had! On Saturday, Caroline went to a birthday party for a little boy that was turning 2. It was a lot of fun! Then we came home and took naps and Caroline was begging to go to my parents house because my niece and nephew were spending the night. So, Blake and I decided to pack our bags and head to the mountains for the rest of the weekend! Mom had a delicious home cooked meal waiting on us when we got there. It was so nice being home! The kids played and had a blast together. They didn't go to bed till after 11:00!!!

(These pics were actually taken a week or so ago but I'm just now uploading them so thought I would throw them into this post!)

Not happy about something!

Then Sunday morning we woke up, ate waffles, and headed out to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather. Here's some cute pics I got of miss priss enjoying the park!

Then we went to lunch and came home for naps! We went back outside to play before eating dinner! It was such a fun relaxing weekend and it's just what Blake and I needed!

Then....Monday rolled around. Why do Monday's have to be so bad??? I had the busiest day ever at work. Seriously was non-stop all day. After work I picked up Caroline, went to the cleaners and then the grocery store. Not my favorite thing to do on a Monday but it had to be done! I get home and am unloading the groceries and my large jar of applesauce goes through the plastic bag and bust EVERYWHERE. I mean all over the place...including my work clothes/shoes, and all over the area behind my car. I spent almost an hour picking up all of the glass. I just bought new tires for my car last week so I was making sure that there wasn't any glass left that would cause a flat tire! Then I made the bad decision of letting Caroline eat blueberries while watching TV and now our sofa is half green (it's normal color) and half blue! Oh Happy Monday! All I have to say is I can't wait for this day to come to an end!

I'm still here!

I can't believe that I haven't blogged in two weeks...or can I??? One reason is I have nothing fun or exciting to write about...aka blogging funk!!! I swear I feel like we have the most boring life sometimes. We go to work/daycare, come home eat dinner and then get ready for bed. That about sums up 5 days of the week for our family!!! The other reason is I haven't taken a single picture of my little one b/c it's impossible to get a 2 year old to stand still long enough to catch a cute shot. So why even try??? So, that sums up my excuses for my laziness of trying to keep up with a blog!

Within the last 2 weeks, Caroline managed to get another ear infection. She's had her tubes for 15 months and so far was ear infection free with the tubes until now. It was gross too. Her ear was draining so bad. They gave her ear drops and a prescription. It seemed to help her but even though she's finished her medicine she still complains that her ear hurts. I can't decide if it actually does hurt her or if she's just saying that b/c she really likes to take her medicine. Who knows!! She doesn't have a fever, snot or anything that would make me think she's still got an ear infection so I'm leaning more towards that she wants more TLC from it!!!

We are also trying to start the whole "potty training" thing with Caroline. The daycare is working with her a lot on it during the day and then we are trying our best to keep it going at home. I have dreaded the potty training thing for some time now and just can't get excited about it. But knowing the daycare is doing the worst part, makes it a little more enticing to keep it going! I am happy to report that this Monday when I picked her up, she had this wonderful note written on her daily sheet!!!

I was so happy for her and she was thrilled too. She was telling me about the prizes she got for going pee-pee in the potty and the fun songs they sing when they go potty! Of course, she hasn't done it since then but hey...it's a start!!!

Oh, and Caroline is into making different faces. Such as a sad face, happy face, and crazy face...

So funny! Not sure where she learned that one!

Last weekend while I was at the car shop spending our tax refund on new tires for my car (not my idea of fun!) Caroline was at grandma's house getting a pedicure! I love her little feet when her toenails are painted...so sweet!

Bring on spring and flip flops!!!
