Caroline had her school pictures taken a couple of weeks ago! "Three Pennies" worked hard all morning capturing all of the sweet kiddos and they did a great job! Caroline was a little more excited about twirling around in her princess dress than smiling at the camera but they got some good shots of her! Such a sweet girl!
Last weekend we went to a birthday party for two of Caroline's friends in her class. It was the cutest party ever! The theme was PJ's, Pancakes, and Polka Dots! We were given PJ's that were made just for the party! Seriously...the moms of the birthday girls made each child their own set of monogrammed PJ's. So stinkin cute! Caroline loved hers so much that she begged to wear them all day long! Here's some pictures that I took with my phone of the girls and their precious matching PJ's!
Caroline's hair was getting so long and un-evened in the back so I thought it was about time that I take her to get her first haircut! I made a big deal about it and planned a girls day...just me and her! We put on her favorite outfit, had her sparkly purse and went to Sweet and Sassy to have her hair cut! She was SO excited about it all morning but once we got there she got so shy. Of course, the minute we leave she was back to her normal cute self!
Before pictures She was SO shy while the lady was cutting her hair. She had this look on her face the entire time! And the finished product... I wanted to go shorter but with this being her first time doing this, I played it safe and just evened out the back of her hair! It's so cute! They gave her a big lollipop and a bracelet so she was a happy camper! It was such a fun day for the two of us and I hope to have many more memories like this to come!
We had a great Easter spending time with family. I loved Caroline's dress this year...I had actually bought if for her to wear last year but it was huge on her so she luckily was able to wear it this year (and it's still a little big so we may get yet another year out of it!)
The kiddos did their annual egg hunt! Here's Caroline and Kendall waiting for the adults to hide the eggs!
My parents gave Caroline money for Easter and she's been dying to have more princess dress up clothes so we went to Target today so that she could buy one with her Easter money! She was so proud when she picked out which dress she wanted and gave the cashier her money and told her who gave it to her, etc! Here she is posing with her new purchase!
We've had a lot of fun this past week getting out and doing fun things with Caroline. We started last Saturday with an Easter parade and egg hunt at Babyland!
This is all of the candy she got from the parade! Crazy!
Waiting on the egg hunt to start!
On Tuesday, we went to the Gwinnett Braves stadium to see the major league Braves vs. the all star Braves. It was packed and was pretty much standing room only! We were a little late getting there due to traffic, and then about 30-45 minutes after we got a seat, it started storming. We waited for a few minutes to see if it would stop but it never did so we ended up leaving. I hated that we didn't get to see much of the game but it was fun to get out and hang out with our friends that night! All Caroline wanted to see was the mascot Chopper and she got to see him dance so she was completely fine that we didn't get to see much of the game!
Go Braves! Soaking wet from all of the rain. Great night to forget the umbrella!! And at school on Thursday, Caroline had an Easter bonnet contest and egg hunt. I have to be honest and say that I wasn't thrilled at all about decorating a bonnet for her contest. But on Wednesday night, I laid all of the crafts on the table and asked Caroline what she wanted to do to decorate her bonnet. She pretty much told me where to put things and I hot glued it. Here's our masterpiece...
It was pretty tacky BUT she not only won the best bonnet for her class but also won the overall most creative! I was so proud of her!
After the bonnet contest, they let all of the kiddos do an egg hunt! So fun! (most pics are from my phone so not the best quality but cute nonetheless!)
I just realized that it's been almost a month since I've last written on the blog. Here's a quick catch up of what's going on these days from my phone...
My little cuttie pie eating lunch... Dr. day at school! I love being able to see Caroline throughout my day at work! I get to see all of the fun things she's learning! Her teachers are awesome and had a fun day of playing dr! Caroline is officially potty trained (has been for about 3 months now!) so we took her for a treat one morning...Dutch Monkey! This kid LOVES donuts! She's got her mama's sweet tooth! A couple of weeks ago, we went to visit my mom at work to eat lunch! Caroline loves getting to visit grandma at work...she's the center of attention with all of the nurses on her floor! Last Friday, we were under a tornado warning and we were watching the news and the weather man said to get shoes and helmets on that it was heading our way. So, Caroline (with her PJ's on) went to put her Tangled dress on, pink ballet shoes, and got Blake's bike helmet! We were very prepared:) Love these two princesses!
I am enjoying life and trying to make the most of every moment that God gives me. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful daughter and couldn't ask for more than that!!!
