Ready for the weekend!

I'm SO thrilled that tomorrow is Friday. I'm ready for a 3 day weekend break! Little miss C has seemed to catch some kind of bug so I'm praying we don't spend our weekend stuck in the house. She had a horrible sinus infection a week before we went to Savannah and was on med's for 14 days. The last two days when I've picked her up from daycare the owner has been telling me that she had a slight fever throughout the day and that she just acted like she didn't feel good. But at home at night she seemed fine so I just thought maybe she was teething or tired.

Well today she stayed home with daddy and he called me at work at lunch time to say that she was fussy and had a 103 fever. So I immediately called the dr and got her an appointment. They checked her out and couldn't find anything wrong with her so for now they are calling it a virus. She had a fever when she went to bed tonight but I'm praying that by morning it's gone. I really HATE when she's sick and high fevers are so scary.

I wanted to tell you about a cute thing that miss C has been doing this past week that is just melting my heart. At dinner and at bedtime when we say our prayers she will put her hands together, bow her head and close her eyes. We've been praying with her since she was born so to see her doing this on her own makes me so proud. Tonight we caught her saying her own prayer after we had said our prayer at the table. She just dropped her fork and put her hands together and starting whispering to herself and then after she said Amen! So stinkin cute! She's also starting to say 2 word phrases and her favorite is "what's this"! She's mastered all of her animal noises and can can tell you where all of her body parts are. I just can't get over the fact how big she is getting. Guess it's time for another baby! Just kidding:)....really just kidding. I said I wouldn't consider having another until she's potty trained!

I hope all of you enjoy your Labor Day weekend! I'm ready to end this Summer season and move on to the Fall season! Fall is my favorite time of the year...can't wait for the crisp air, beautiful leaves, apple cider, and pumpkins! Bring it on!

First ponytail

C's hair is getting so long so I thought I would see what it looked like in a pony tail. It was so cute!

Having her hair in a ponytail makes her look so much older. My baby girl is growing up fast!

Savannah trip!

To say we had a blast in Savannah would be a huge understatement! We enjoyed ourselves so much. We were able to visit the beach a couple of times. This was the first time Caroline had been to the beach and I wasn't sure how she would react but she loved it.

We also were able to eat some yummy food. We ate at Paula Dean's restuarant and at Ms. Wilkes restaurant. Great southern food and Caroline loved the bananna pudding!

We enjoyed staying with my aunt in her beautiful house & guest house. We went to watch the sunrise on her dock everyday. Simply beautiful!

Blake and I were able to escape on our anniversary for a date night!

And Caroline made a friend while we were there...

Caroline did NOT like the long car ride home!!!

I may post more pictures later this week if time allows! Sorry for the long post...there were just too many cute pictures and I couldn't just pick one or two for the blog!

Thanks Maryellen for letting us come and visit!!

4 Years!

Blake and I got married 4 years ago today! I can't believe how quickly time has gone by. It feels like yesterday we were standing on Wolf Mountain's deck saying "I do"! I love our how relationship has grown and matured over the years. Not all days are good but it's those days that make us stronger!

Today, we plan to celebrate by having a "date night" in Savannah! We can't remember the last time we went out just the two of us since having Caroline.

Speaking of Savannah...we are having a blast. Caroline LOVED the beach yesterday and we had a wonderful dinner at Paula Dean's restaurant last night. I think I've gained 5 lbs since we got here on Tuesday! lol.

Sunday

Ready to go to church...

Miss cool girl with her shades on minus her hairbow...

After church on the way to Cleveland (with hair bow!)....

Playing outside with cousins...

Came back in for a water break....

Got wet playing with the water hose and mommy only brought one outfit so here's miss priss walking around waiting for her clothes to dry. She would NOT take off her sunglasses. Too funny!

Have a great week everyone!!!

Every little girl needs accessories!

Bracelets...

Sunglasses...

And daddy's shoes!

***Please ignore the messy hair...apparently Caroline doesn't feel like she needs her bows as accessories anymore!

Home grown veggies

Blake and I love fresh veggies but unfortunately have no clue on how to grow our own veggies. Luckily, right now we don't have to! My granny keeps a garden all summer long so we are constantly getting fresh green beans, blue berries, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, and okra. We've literally have gone through 3 buckets of blue berries!!! Caroline loves them and so do we! We were blessed on Sunday night that my parents neighbor gave us some fresh tomatoes, okra, and green peppers from his garden.

So tonight, I decided to be a good wife and mother and fix a good southern meal. It's nights like this that I feel proud of myself! I'm a full time working mommy and it's hard to come home and fix a home cooked meal everyday so the days I can, I feel accomplished. Except for tonight, Caroline ate maybe 1/4 of her plate and then threw the rest on the floor (which has been typical for her lately) and Blake came home with a stomach bug.

Oh well, at least I got to enjoy the goodness!
