Fun Day!!

A couple of weeks ago we met up with my wonderful co-worker, Jana Jackson, for a fun morning of pictures at Sims Park. She captured some amazing pictures and did a great job with Caroline. These's aren't near all of the pictures that she took but some of my favorite. The others will be a surprise to any of you that will be getting a Christmas card from us!! Thanks Jana for your amazing work!!

This was the last picture we took...she was exhausted and ready to take a nap!!! Take note that the bow is out and bribe money in her hand:)

Day 3 and 4

We had dinner at AJ's on Tuesday night. Blake and I ate there on our honeymoon 5 years ago and loved it so we really wanted to go back again:)

They have a spot to feed the fish so we got some fish food for Caroline to throw at them. She loved it. She would do one piece at a time and had hundreds of fish fighting for it. She thought it was so funny.

Here's all of the fish waiting for her to throw more in!

Can't really see it great but Blake and I took a dolphin tour on our honeymoon 5 years ago and had our picture taken in the same spot! So fun to see us 5 years later with a beautiful daughter:)

Yes, we make our child work for her fun!! She honestly had a fit to carry it so since we had chairs, bag, umbrella, etc to carry we took her up on the offer!!

We were out at the pool for 30 min and Caroline climbed up on the chair to take a nap. Poor girl isn't used to all of this fun day after day!

So, after her nap we went to the beach for the afternoon! She looks more refreshed!

Caroline loved chasing the birds on the beach! She couldn't figure out why they didn't want her to bother them! ha!

Love the beach!

Pure cuteness watching her and her daddy play in the sand!

So, anyone who knows me knows that I have a fear of jelly fish. Well, the water was so clear and beautiful today so I got in and stayed in for a long time. As soon as I got out, a guy walked up to me with this jelly fish. So scary to think I was just in the water close to that thing.

About 10 minutes later, another family found this one. Needless to say, we packed up and headed to the pool! Ha! That's all I needed to see of those crazy things. They ended up changing the flag to purple b/c more were found. Yuck!

Bathing beauty!

Snack at the pool!

So, Blake was getting a shower and I was blow drying my hair and I walk out of the bathroom to see Caroline passed out on the floor. Poor thing is worn out:)

Beach Trip...Day 1 & 2

We are enjoying our beach trip in Destin this week! We got here about 2:00am on Monday morning...I totally suggest driving at night with little ones. No traffic and Caroline slept the entire time!! So much more peaceful! We've been enjoying the beach and pool! Caroline loves being in the water and has become quite a little fish:)

More to come...

July catch-up

I know I'm a month late but here's pictures of Blake celebrating his birthday! Now that I'm off on Friday's and his birthday just so happened to have fallen on a Friday, Caroline and I decided to join him at work for lunch! We had fun visiting daddy at work and getting to spend some time with him at lunch. Then, Caroline and I decided to get him an ice-cream cake to suprise him when he got home. Blake didn't get home from work until after 9:00 so I let Caroline stay up late so that she could sing Happy Birthday to daddy and eat some of the cake!

A couple of weeks later we had our annual Campmeeting! Since I had just started a new job, I decided not to take time off so I don't have a ton of pictures! Caroline stayed the entire week with my parents and I went up there Thursday night to spend the weekend with them! I think Caroline had a blast and loved every minute of it! Here's a couple of pictures from when I got there:)

And a cute picture of my Caroline all ready to go outside to play:)

We are looking forward to a fun August! We are heading to the beach in a couple of weeks and we can't wait! Blake and I will also celebrate our 5th year anniversay soon!! ...And we are one month closer to Fall!!! My favorite time of the year!!

Quick update

I promise we are all alive and well! I have had NO time to blog recently....what's new! I've thought about taking a blogging break and even giving it up all together but then I look back on posts when Caroline was smaller and enjoy reading what was going on so I think I'll continue. I just need to get better at blogging.

I haven't uploaded pictures from my camera since the 4th of July so no pictures tonight but it is on my agenda for this week! I wanted to give a quick update on how everything is going! I started my new job at the church about 4 weeks ago and I LOVE it. It's such an awesome job and I'm loving every minute of it. There's days where I'm having so much fun that it's hard to leave to go home! I love my team and everyone I work with. It's just such a blessing to actually enjoy what you do! I haven't had this in so long and am so excited that God opened this door for me! The other positive is the benefits of the job. Besides the fact that I got a Mac computer, great insurance and vacation time (yes I"m bragging!!!)...the best benefit is that Caroline goes to work with me and I can see her anytime of the day! She loves her new school and has done so well. Much better than I thought she would! I love her teachers and love that they send me text messages all day long of what she's doing and sends me pics so that I don't miss out on anything. So fun! Her teachers also love on her which makes it easier to do my job and not worry about her!

On another note, I think we have officially crossed the line and am in full blast with the terrible two's. I'm wondering where my sweet child went. Anyone else experience this??? My sweet, quiet, shy girl has opened up to a full blast screaming/pitching fit toddler. Blake and I keep wondering where we went wrong. It literally took the child over an hour to apologize after she got put in time out on Sunday. Talk about stubborn!!! If anything, we are learning how to have more patience with her. There are times when she tests us more than we want to be tested! And potty training.....isn't going well at all. Is there a potty training boot camp that I can send her too!!! lol.
